Deep in the Naranjo highlands, Kathia Zamora and her family have cultivated coffee for four generations. Their single-origin micro-mill produces some of the finest 100% Arabica in the world. For four generations, the best beans never left the family table.
Until Jason and Cathy Miller arrived in October 2022 with a dream, a couple of stickers, and a few brown paper bags.

We showed up to the Zamora farm with nothing but a handshake, a dream, a couple of stickers, and some brown paper bags. We sat together building our very first rough prototypes at the kitchen table.
Then Leonardo — the youngest son — walked in. He grabbed a little stuffed sloth, put sunglasses on it, set it down next to our prototype bags, and said "Sloth Life."
The brand was born right there. Not in a boardroom. Not with a designer. At a family table in the Costa Rican highlands, with a kid who just got it.
When our first real branded bags arrived, we drove straight back to Naranjo, put the bags in the photo with Leonardo's sloth, and took the picture. That was our launch day.
